Introducing TheDevBus
Every developer needs a place to think out loud. TheDevBus is ours, an independent, software engineer-led home for tools and writing, where we build in public and write honestly about what we learn along the way.
Why TheDevBus exists
Most of what we know about building software, we learned from other people sharing theirs, a blog post, a repo, a half-finished demo with a good README. TheDevBus is our way of giving some of that back: open source projects, practical tooling, and writing that other developers can pick up and actually use. No gatekeeping, no fluff.
What you'll find here
Two threads run through everything on this site: development and AISecOps.
On the development side, expect notes from real work, how we design and build software across the stack, the trade-offs we weigh, and the bugs that taught us something the hard way. Less "hello world" tutorials, more lessons from projects that had to ship.
On the AISecOps side: AI has quietly become part of how software gets made. It writes code, reviews pull requests, and triages alerts. And that shift deserves the same rigor we apply to everything else in the pipeline. We'll dig into things like:
- Securing AI-assisted development: validating AI-written code, keeping secrets out of prompts
- LLM application security: prompt injection, data leakage, and the new supply-chain risks
- AI in the pipeline: what changes when agents help generate, review, and deploy your code
